Does my package include a Buddy Pass?

By default, digital summit packages like the Early Bird (before the summit starts) or the Summit Offer (during the summit) do not include the buddy pass.

By default, physical summit packages do come with a buddy pass!

For a few select summits, we are able to include a buddy pass as follows:

Does my package include the DVDs and book?

This Early Bird offer gives you digital access to the summit content at a special discount for our early supporters. The Early Bird does not include physical items like DVDs or book.

During the summit, you may have the option to choose between the Digital Access Pass and a Physical Package (the Physical Package combines digital access with the delivery of the summit on a physical medium).

You’ll always know what you’re getting by checking whether or not your package says “Digital Access”, in which case you’re getting digital access only.

The checkout will also only ask you for your shipping address if you’re purchasing the physical package. If you were not asked for your full address, you purchased the digital access pass.

Does the Early Bird summit package include the physical package?

The early bird offer consist of digital access to the summit content, the downloads and bonuses. The early bird does not include the DVDs.

How do I download the summit interviews?

Open

Remember: We’ll add the summit interviews only after they have aired during the summit!

Once they are available, here is how to download the audio interviews and the transcripts. We do not offer downloads for videos but you’ll have lifetime access to the video through our member center.

Step 1: Log into the member center here: https://members.betterlifesummits.com/

Step 2: Access on the summit button. It would look something like this

Step 3: Click on the headline of any interview you want to watch or download:


Step 4: When the page for a particular speaker opens you’ll see the video on top and the download buttons underneath the video. Choose your preferred mode of delivery.

To download the files please right click on the button and select “Save as…” or “Save link as…” and download the file.

 

On a mobile device you can follow the same process except for the fact that phones don’t have a “right click”. Instead on a mobile device what you want to do is to tab the download button and hold your finger on screen for a second or so. A menu will pop up that will then give you the download option. After the file has been downloaded, just click it to play.

On an iPhone or iPad you may want to add the audio file to iTunes or use this workaround.

I purchased the package, why can’t I access the replays?

When you purchase the summit package, we don’t exclude you from the live summits. So you will still receive emails for the live summit which would say that the replays will disappear after 24 hours but of course that is not relevant for you. With your summit package you will have lifetime access to the interviews even if the replays are no longer available for the general public.

In other words, there are two links for a summit:

1. The link to the live summit where the general public can participate and access is limited

2. The link to the member center where participants who purchased the package can access all summit interviews for life

With the summit package it’s completely optional to join the live summit and you don’t have to worry about the replays ending – that only applies to the general public.

That said, of course we’d be thrilled if you were to join us during the live summit because you’ll get to interact with us and the other community members and you’ll get to watch the interviews before they are added to the member center (interviews are uploaded after they have aired during the live summit).

I purchased the summit package but I can’t find a particular speaker in the summit replays

You can watch all the summit content at any time beyond the live summit.  Even though the list of interviews inside the member center is not in chronological order, you can still find your desired speaker.

To do this, use

Step 2: Search for the name of your desired speaker

To use the search function hold the control key and press F on Windows or hold the command key and press f on a Mac.

I purchased the summit package, but I don’t see the interviews in the member center yet

With your summit package you get lifetime digital access to the summit interviews. However if you purchased the summit package before or during the summit you may have to wait until the interviews have aired during the summit for us to add them to the member center.

So whether or not you have immediate access to all summit interviews depends on when you purchase the summit. The earlier you purchase, the better your deal but you may have to wait until the end of the summit to have access to everything!

Of course by the end of the summit you’ll have access to all interviews and any bonuses you may have purchased inside our member center.

Physical Summit Package

A DVD isn’t working

The DVDs that are part of the physical summit package will work on modern DVD players and disc players in laptops and computers.

In case you own an old DVD player, the DVD may not play properly. If you find this happening, please try another DVD player or laptop or computer.

If that doesn’t do the trick, you always have the option to return the package during the refund period (terms) and please reach out to us before returning the package.

How long does it take to receive the physical package?

If you’ve ordered a physical package, this will probably be your main question. Because we try to keep the costs reasonable and offer you a good discount we have to bundle the orders from the summit. That means your DVDs and books are only printed after the summit has ended. So please allow for about three weeks after the summit has ended. Of course you’ll receive a tracking number as soon as the package is on its way for peace of mind.

And if you’ve ordered the combo package that includes both the digital and physical packages, you’ll have access to everything online right after the summit has ended. So while you wait for the package to arrive, you can already enjoy all the content here.

How to give away my buddy pass?

  • This applies only to certain summits and packages.
  • You can only do this once so make sure you enter your buddy’s email correctly and check for typos (best copy paste it from one of their emails)

With that in mind, if you have a buddy pass to give away you’ll find a button inside the dashboard of the members’ area https://members.betterlifesummits.com/dashboard/ (requires login). It may look like this:

On the page that opens you can enter your buddy’s details and set their account:

Your buddy will receive an email from hello@betterlifesummits.com with their password but please let them know that you’ve set up their account and to check their spam folder as well.

If your buddy doesn’t receive their password within 20 minutes, they can request a one-time password here.

We also require for you to get the buddy’s OK before setting up their account because they will receive emails from us and we don’t want to surprise or spam them. So after filling out the details check the box.

Only after checking the box will the submit button show up and you can set up your buddy’s account.

I can’t find the dessert book I purchased with the summit

This opens the download window where you can select where you’d like to save the file and then simply click “Save”.

 

Where are the bonuses from the summit?

In some cases – for example if a speaker contributes a bonus – you may find instructions on how to access your bonus instead of a download. Follow the instructions to gain access. You may have to register with the partner’s website to get access. Please register for any external bonuses within 30 days of the end of the summit because partners are not obligated to keep registration open and we can’t help you beyond that point.

Payment Questions

Update Credit Card details

Open

Updating your credit card information is possible inside the customer hub of our shopping cart. The shopping cart is called “ThriveCart” and you can follow along here:

1. Click this link (opens a new tab) and enter your email into the field: https://click.thrivecart.com/updateinfo/


2. Within a few minutes you should receive an email from “ThriveCart” with the subject “Update info / view purchase history”. Please check your spam folder as well!

Once you’ve received the email please click the link inside that email (it expires in a few minutes so if it doesn’t work, request a new link via step 1).


3. After you clicked the link, it will open a page where you can click “Update my info” in the profile section.


Clicking this button will then open a modal window with your personal details and the ability to update any card details.
To update your credit card the steps are:

  1. Click the ‘Update’ button to unlock the credit card fields
  2. Enter the new credit card details
  3. Click “Save Changes”

After you’ve entered your new credit card information, complete the update by clicking the “Save changes” button.
That’s it. You can verify the update by closing the modal / pop up and then clicking the “Update my info” button once again.

How can I ask for a refund?

For the terms and condition of our refund policy please refer to the details on the summit page and our terms.

We typically offer a 30 day money back guarantee on summit package sales. We only start counting down the 30 days once we’ve added all the content to the member center. That means if you take advantage of the Early Bird offer, your refund period doesn’t start immediately but only once you have access to everything.

In case you want to ask for a refund, simply email us: hello@betterlifesummits.com with the email you used during checkout.

Why is the company registered in Singapore?

Before we get into the history of Better Life Summits know this: while the company is registered in Singapore, our payment processors in Stripe and PayPal are US based, our email service providers are US based, our website server is in the US and most of our community is from the US as well.

So why Singapore?

Tobi, the founder of Better Life Summits is from Germany. Before starting Better Life Summits Tobi worked in the renewable energy sector and ended up in Singapore for projects in South East Asia that were set up to reduce carbon emissions. That’s when he met his wife, who is Singaporean. A few years later he founded a company in Singapore which turned into what you see today.

While Singapore may catch you by surprise, Singapore is one of the world’s most modern countries (it’s not China), the fourth largest financial center in the world, one of the least corrupt country – far ahead of countries you would trust like the US and most of Europe. And Singapore is a vibrant, fascinating melting pot of cultures that is definitely worth a visit if you ever have the chance.

So the fact that our company is registered in Singapore comes from the personal history behind it. Any while many thing we’re a big company, Better Life Summits is essentially a team of two.

I want to upgrade to the physical package

For most summit we don’t offer a physical package until we receive enough interest.

So in the weeks leading up to the summit, we’ll keep track of the interest in a physical package and if there is enough interest, we’ll offer it at the start of the live summit.

If at any point during the summit you’d like to upgrade from your digital summit package to the physical package, which includes digital access as well, please reach out to us via email: hello@betterlifesummits.com

Where possible, we’ll email you a link to upgrade for $100.

I was charged an additional fee, what happened?

We do not impose an additional charge but it may have been charged by your credit card company because our company is registered in Singapore. To explain:

1. Tobi, the founder of Better Life Summits, founded his company when he lived in Singapore for many years. His wife is Singaporean. While most of our partners, hosts and speakers are from the US, that doesn’t change where the company is registered. And if you wonder about Singapore, know that it’s one of the most modern countries in the world (it’s not China) and ranks on #4 on the list of least corrupt countries (only behind Denmark, New Zealand and Finland). Also know that besides the registration of the company, nothing actually goes through Singapore. Our payment providers are US companies (Stripe and PayPal), our website is hosted in the US, our email server is in the US, etc. and most importantly: we don’t have access to any payment details – everything is handled by Stripe and PayPal directly.

2. We do not impose any additional charges – we only receive the actual payment. If there are additional charges, these were imposed by your bank or credit card. Sometimes they do that in case of an international payment. Please reach out to your credit card provider to clarify.

Technical Questions

I don’t see my products in dashboard

Open

What may cause this problem is that your browser has stored a previous version of the website so here’s what you can do:

  1. Click “Logout” in the footer of the member center
  2. Close the tab / window where you logged in before
  3. Open this link in a new window: https://members.betterlifesummits.com/
  4. Re-enter your login details and click “Login”

This should completely reload the dashboard for you.

If this doesn’t load the dashboard or keeps you logged out it may be an issue with the login details. If you are confident you have the right password, please try this:

  1. Open a new incognito window in your browser (use the browser menu and then select “New incognito window”). This will prevent any previous sessions or old login data to disrupt the dashboard from loading for you.
  2. In that new incognito window open this link https://members.betterlifesummits.com/ and then log in with your email and password.

If it still doesn’t work, I’d recommend to delete the browser history for Better Life Summits. In Chrome here is how it works:

  1. Click on the three dots on the top right to open the menu.
  2. Click on “History” and “History” again (or hold the Ctrl key and type the letter H)
  3. Enter members.betterlifesummits.com into the search box on top.
  4. Check the first box on top.
  5. Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard, scroll down and click the check box of the last item. All items are now checked.
  6. Click “delete” on the top right to delete these items.
  7. Next open a new tab and try to log in again

How to access my dashboard easily on my phone?

I can’t play the videos on my phone

We try to ensure videos play on every device. But in some rare instances your device or browser may need to be updated or some settings need to change.

The easier option is always to try a different browser on your phone, ideally the latest version of Chrome and ensure that you have good internet connection. 

If the error message says “Video Not Available”, refer to this article on a setting in your browser that may prevent videos from playing.

Last but not least, try a different device and that should take care of this.

Sometimes email providers block certain incoming emails but here’s what you can do:

Add our email to your contacts.

Go to your email contact list and add our email to your contacts: hello@betterlifesummits.com – that increases the chances of us reaching your inbox.

And if you mark one of our emails as spam, even by accident, we won’t be able to send you emails anymore.

How do I post a comment in the summit?

We use Facebook comments. To be able to comment you must be logged into Facebook inside the web-browser that you are using.

If you use the Facebook app, this does not automatically mean that you’re logged into Facebook inside your browser as well.

Sometimes logging out and back in can also help so here’s what you can do: 

  1. Open facebook.com inside the browser on your phone
  2. Log out of Facebook
  3. Log into Facebook again
  4. Afterwards and in the same browser open the live broadcast link
  5. Tap comments at the top of the page.

Now the comment field should show up:

Enter your comment and if you want to share it on Facebook also check the box to “Also post on Facebook”.
If this doesn’t work, then use another browser – we recommend the latest Google chrome – may help.

Because the comment section is added into the page by Facebook we are unable to change how it works.

I can’t post a comment on the summit

Open

We use Facebook comments. To be able to comment you must be logged into Facebook inside the web-browser that you are using.

If you use the Facebook app, this does not automatically mean that you’re logged into Facebook inside your browser as well.

Sometimes logging out and back in can also help so here’s what you can do: 

  1. Open facebook.com inside the browser on your phone
  2. Log out of Facebook
  3. Log into Facebook again
  4. Afterwards and in the same browser open the live broadcast link

To view your comment,  scroll all the way down towards the bottom of the page. Please note that you can’t have both the audio playing and see the comments at the same time. To comment, you have to exit viewing/listening mode and make a comment at the bottom then come back up the page and relaunch the video.

Enter your comment and if you want to share it on Facebook also check the box to “Also post on Facebook”. If this doesn’t work, then use another browser – we recommend the latest Google chrome – may help. Because the comment section is added into the page by Facebook we are unable to change how it works.

I purchased the summit package, but I don’t see the interviews in the member center yet

With your summit package you get lifetime digital access to the summit interviews. However if you purchased the summit package before or during the summit you may have to wait until the interviews have aired during the summit for us to add them to the member center.

So whether or not you have immediate access to all summit interviews depends on when you purchase the summit. The earlier you purchase, the better your deal but you may have to wait until the end of the summit to have access to everything!

Of course by the end of the summit you’ll have access to all interviews and any bonuses you may have purchased inside our member center.

My stored password isn’t working

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Delete the password that is currently stored in your browser – here are instructions for the most common browsers: https://www.bu.edu/tech/services/cccs/desktop/software/troubleshooting/removing-password-from-browsers-saved-password-list/
  2. Request a one-time password, which will reset your password and allow you to set up your own. Follow the instructions here for Better Life Summits or here for Feel Fabulous.
  3. Login with the one time password but do not store that password in your browser because you’ll set up your own next
  4. Set up your own password in your profile
  5. Log out and back in with your own password – this time save the password when the browser prompts you to save it

Alternatively we suggest using a password manager like LastPass to manage your passwords.
