I can’t access your free content any more


We thrive to create valuable content and offer it for free in our summits, webinars, online video series or downloads. In fact, we make our most valuable content available for everyone for free before we start charging for it. At the same time that means that after this free viewing period this content will only be available for our paying members.

This way we can offer life-changing content for free without relying on outside sponsors or donations or holding back the good content for paid products. But once it’s gone, it’s gone.

I can’t play the videos on my phone


We try to ensure videos play on every device. But in some rare instances your device or browser may need to be updated or some settings need to change.

The easier option is always to try a different browser on your phone, ideally the latest version of Chrome and ensure that you have good internet connection. 

If you’re using an add blocker, disable it and refresh the page.

If the error message says “Video Not Available”, refer to this article on a setting in your browser that may prevent videos from playing.

Last but not least, try a different device and that should take care of this.

I’m not receiving emails from you


Sometimes email providers block certain incoming emails but here’s what you can do:

Is Zoom safe to install?


Zoom is the #1 software for online meetings an used by companies and speakers all around the world. We have been using it for many years without any glitches or safety concerns.

The video player says “Video unavailable”


In some cases you may see an error message when you try to watch the summit interviews along the lines of “Video unavailable – This video is unavailable with Restricted Mode enabled”.

This is caused by a setting in your YouTube account.

To solve this navigate to the “Settings” menu within the YouTube website. You’ll need to click on the drop down under “Account” and you will see the Restricted Mode option which you’ll want to disable for the duration of the summit:

Payment Questions

Can’t pay using my credit card


One of the reasons that you may not be able to complete the purchase using your credit card may be that our company is registered in Singapore and that’s something your bank may not expect and consequently your bank may decline the payment (details). 

Now to solve this issue here is what you can do: 

  1. If you have a PayPal account you can simply pay via PayPal as our members haven’t reported any issues with them.
  2. If you don’t have a PayPal account you can still pay through PayPal but using your credit card. In this case PayPal processes the payment and most of the time this will work. For this option please select PayPal as the payment option on the checkout page. After clicking the buy button you’ll be directed to PayPal’s payment page. Here select “Pay with credit card” and then complete the checkout process as a guest. While this option works great for summit packages and programs, it will not work for subscriptions like our Feel Fabulous membership or payment plans.
  3. Notify your bank that you’d like to pre-approve this transaction and let them know about the fact that this would be an international payment.
  4. If that still doesn’t work, try a different credit card as most banks do approve the purchase.

The reason the company is registered in Singapore is related to our founder’s personal history (his wife is from Singapore). And while the company is registered in Singapore, our payment processors in Stripe and PayPal are US based, our email service provider is US based, our website server is in the US, etc and most of our community is in the US and Europe. It’s amazing to connect with people from around the world, it’s a shame to see that in a global world technology still makes it hard for us at times 🙂

I don’t want to pay online. Are there other payment methods?


We’re a small husband and wife team of 2 doing everything and because we live in Germany, we can only receive online payments and can’t accommodate other forms of payments.

I was charged an additional fee, what happened?


We do not impose an additional charge but it may have been charged by your credit card company because our company is registered in Singapore. To explain:

1. Tobi, the founder of Better Life Summits, founded his company when he lived in Singapore for many years. His wife is Singaporean. While most of our partners, hosts and speakers are from the US, that doesn’t change where the company is registered. And if you wonder about Singapore, know that it’s one of the most modern countries in the world (it’s not China) and ranks on #4 on the list of least corrupt countries (only behind Denmark, New Zealand and Finland). Also know that besides the registration of the company, nothing actually goes through Singapore. Our payment providers are US companies (Stripe and PayPal), our website is hosted in the US, our email server is in the US, etc. and most importantly: we don’t have access to any payment details – everything is handled by Stripe and PayPal directly.

2. We do not impose any additional charges – we only receive the actual payment. If there are additional charges, these were imposed by your bank or credit card. Sometimes they do that in case of an international payment. Please reach out to your credit card provider to clarify.

Why is the company registered in Singapore?


Before we get into the history of Better Life Summits know this: while the company is registered in Singapore, our payment processors in Stripe and PayPal are US based, our email service providers are US based, our website server is in the US and most of our community is from the US as well.

So why Singapore?

Tobi, the founder of Better Life Summits is from Germany. Before starting Better Life Summits Tobi worked in the renewable energy sector and ended up in Singapore for projects in South East Asia that were set up to reduce carbon emissions. That’s when he met his wife, who is Singaporean. A few years later he founded a company in Singapore which turned into what you see today.

While Singapore may catch you by surprise, Singapore is one of the world’s most modern countries (it’s not China), the fourth largest financial center in the world, one of the least corrupt country – far ahead of countries you would trust like the US and most of Europe. And Singapore is a vibrant, fascinating melting pot of cultures that is definitely worth a visit if you ever have the chance.

So the fact that our company is registered in Singapore comes from the personal history behind it. Any while many thing we’re a big company, Better Life Summits is essentially a team of two.
